Set up two-step sign-in (2 minutes)
iPhone: nothing to download. Android: Google Authenticator, free. Step by step.
Two-step sign-in asks for a 6-digit code from your phone after your password, so a stolen password isn't enough to get into your workspace. Owners and admins should turn it on: they can see and export everything.
Start here: sign in, then open crustomer.us/account/security (or tap Set it up in the yellow bar at the top of Crustomer) and tap Set up two-step sign-in. Then follow the steps for your phone.
On an iPhone (nothing to download)
- Do this on your iPhone, in Safari.
- Tap Add to iPhone Passwords. Your iPhone's Passwords app opens; tap Set Up Verification Code and save it.
- Go back to Crustomer and tap the code box. Your iPhone suggests the 6-digit code above the keyboard; tap it, then Turn on.
- Next time you sign in, the same thing happens: tap the code box and pick the code.
Older iPhone (before iOS 17) or prefer an app? Get Google Authenticator from the App Store and follow the Android steps; they work the same on iPhone.
On an Android phone
- Get Google Authenticator from the Play Store (free). It's made by Google.
- In Crustomer, tap Add to Google Authenticator. The app opens with Crustomer filled in; tap Add account.
- Go back to Crustomer, type the 6-digit code shown for Crustomer, and tap Turn on.
Setting it up on a computer
- Open crustomer.us/account/security on the computer and tap Set up two-step sign-in. A QR code appears.
- iPhone: point the Camera at the QR code and tap Add Verification Code in Passwords.
- Android: open Google Authenticator, tap +, then Scan a QR code.
- Type the 6-digit code from your phone into the computer and tap Turn on.
Use a password manager like 1Password or Bitwarden? Tap Copy the setup key and paste it there instead.
Add a backup
If you lose your phone, you'd be locked out. After turning it on, tap Add a backup device and add a second phone, an iPad, your laptop's password manager, or a business partner's phone.
Lost your phone?
Ask another owner of your workspace to reset it, or write to hello@crustomer.us and we'll verify it's you and turn it off so you can set it up again.
Still stuck? Write to hello@crustomer.us and a person answers.
